In August 2024 IVAR IKS, a non-profit Norwegian governmental owned company, opened R:Elsk (eng: re-loved) a 3.500 sqm Circular Shopping Center at Porsgarden in Forus, Norway. The center is the largest of its kind in Europe and a future role model both in terms of circularity and social sustainability.
Our vision for Porsgarden is to transform an old industrial area and car retail house from the 80’s, to a world leading circular hub and competence center. R:Elsk is hands-on leading the way on our global challenge to eliminate waste and circulate products. The opening of R:Elsk is therefor an important milestone towards realizing our vision. The project also proves the impossible is possible when we co-create for common long term sustainability goals.
Next phase for Porsgarden is rehabilitating Loft 3 on the top floor of the building. At Loft 3, we are creating a space for circular workshops, creativity and conferences. Our mission is to facilitate an arena for global leaders to share hands-on wisdom for sustainable transformation, reimagine the future and co-create a clear direction forward. Loft 3 will open in May 2025.
